Swimming At A Public Pool In Hill City

Two days ago; I was enjoying my time at a swimming pool in Hill City, Kansas. This pool has a water slide what you can use to slide down. This pool is your landing spot, but you can get wet as you land. Since I've enjoyed going to the pool; I thought of coming back to this place next year.

The Swimming Pool Itself

The swimming pool in Hill City has 2 pools, a wading pool for small children, and the large pool for everyone.

The Large Pool

This large pool is shaped like an "L". It has a shallow end, and a deep end. This large pool can hold lots of swimmers, but it has something unique, and I'll mention this later in this article.

The rope divides the shallow, and the deep sections of the pool. The deep pool is intended for people who wanted to dive, or swim deep. Swimming at the deep end takes courage, and skill. If you've practiced swimming, and surfacing, you can use the deep end. Alternatively, you can float with your favorite floaty. You can go tubing as you use a deep end.

The Wading Pool

This is a pool for starters and little children. This pool is smaller, but it has a smaller scale. Most little children use this pool over a large version. Why they have this pool because, that makes it easier for a family to have fun at this public swimming pool.

The Water Slide

This is a fun part at the pool, and you can go fast,--if you can do it. All you have to do just climb the stairs, and follow the instructions issued by a lifeguard who works there. For the best results, always slide feet first, not head first. You can hold the running water, and attempt to slide fast. The catch is: you can get soaked.

When sliding down, you can feel the running water pushing you along the slide. This is important to help reduce friction, and enable you to slip as you slide down.

You land in water with a SPLASH! If you repeat this when taking turns, it's like having fun at a large water park someplace.

My thoughts of sliding down this water slide is kind of like being a kid again, but I'm bringing back the fun what I was missing out for a long time. Days earlier; I was really missing out because, I have to figure out ways to have fun.

Music Playing

They do have a machine that plays music, but many tracks are played randomly. Or requested by using a juke box, or some device.

They do have a good sound system, and I can hear music as I play on a slide.
